Android Mobile App Developer

Columbus, OH

Position description

The Android Mobile App Developer will work on an in-store retail associate application that will be built on an existing Android app core and expanded for store associates.

Required qualifications

  • Strong experience implementing Google Material Design and Android UI
  • Experience with UI design and ability to interpret accessible designs.
  • Strong object-oriented design and programming skills in Java (J2EE/ J2ME)
  • Familiar with Android SDK
  • Familiar with Android Studio as well as build automation tools such as Gradle
  • Familiar with Google Play Developer Console
  • Good understanding of HTTP, REST API concepts
  • Experience with common open source libraries such as Retrofit and Dagger
  • Strong experience with unit testing Android applications with tools such as Robolectric and JUnit.
  • Experience with Kotlin and working in a Java / Kotlin mixed Android project
  • Experience with Android’s accessibility features
  • Experience with Android’s localization features

Required education and experience

4-year degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience
